Throughout first half time both teams were well organized with solid compact defenses, not letting many goal scoring opportunities. Half time ended with unpopular result 0:0 in a very tactical game.

Match went on similar way in first 15 minutes of the second half time, although we got to say FC Merivälja created couple good counter attacks due to longer bench. All three lineups contributed their part and we felt that opponents are getting slowly tired.

What we saw in the last 5 minutes of the match is very rare on futsal matches. First Ilienkov was sent off after his second yellow card, which meant FC Merivälja had extra player on the field for next two minutes. We took timeout to discuss a game plan and it worked – after nice corner play Kask passed to Reesalu, who found Põldmaa in the penalty box for the 0:1 lead. It was Põldmaa’s debut goal for FC Merivälja.

With only three minutes to go Gabrielian lost his nerves and brutally attacked Kask for what he earned direct red card. And like that wasn’t enough, in next minute Amigo Takso goalkeeper Kotenko fouled Põldmaa outside the penalty box with a harsh tackle. Referees first let the match continue, but FC Merivälja requested VAR challenge which confirmed the foul and also Kotenko was rewarded with straight red card. It was third red card in 3 minutes for Amigo Takso players, and since this is not so common in futsal also referees needed some time to figure out how many opponents can even continue on the field.

Bizzare enough, Amigo Takso managed to equalize the game 40 seconds before the end, after side out goal shot by Radomski surprised Ütsik. Surely that had to be enough excitement for one match, right?

Luckily we had the last saying, after Ojamaa intercepted the ball half way and went to counter attack. Opponent defenders tried to tackle him just before the penalty box, but he somehow maintained control of the ball and scored a well deserved winner just 6 seconds before the end of the match.

It was a tough match in first 35 minutes, but opponents made it difficult for themselves today with some unnecessary roughness. At the end it was deserved first three points in the league for FC Merivälja.
