Draw in a group derby match against Valge Poni Trahter seems fair result today, considering what both teams showed on the field.
Valge Poni Trahter took the lead in 5th minute trough Laan and FC Merivälja answered with 2 goals by Solodov and Jakubov in first halftime for 2:1 lead.
In the beginning of second halftime Valge Poni Trahter equalized (this time with help of Solodov’s own goal). In 31st minute Jakubov scored directly from free kick with powerful shot for 3:2 lead.
Last 3 minutes of the match were hectic – first Jänts equalized the score after counter attack in 37th minute. Just a minute after Jakubov took us to 4:3 lead again with his 3rd goal of the game. At that point it seemed as we’re gonna held for 2 more minutes and took valuable three points, but just 20 seconds before the end of the match Kose managed to equalize the score for final 4:4.
Although we were leading for the most of the match, Valge Poni team was very persistent and always managed to come back. Both teams deserved to share points today.
