In first round of qualifiers for SEM Grandliiga we met today with experienced team of L.F.C.

It was relatively equal first halftime, apart from two individual mistakes in our defense which opponent punished with two quick goals. Those were also their only two shots towards our goal in first halftime. On the other side we created 3-4 good opportunities from the corner kicks, but shots were wide or saved by Makuhhin. Most controversial moment came just few minutes before halftime, when Tebyanian was tackled inside the box, but Makarov decided it was not enough for penalty and so we ended halftime with two goals behind.

In first minute of second halftime L.F.C. had the opportunity to increase the lead after mistake in our defense, but Hartšuk shot went wide. After that we were dominating and managed to lower the score in 28th minute. Most of the work for this goal was done by our “engine” Kuusk today, who dribbled trough half of the field before finding open Selišek who assisted Ehman for our first goal. Couple of minutes later Ehman assisted Vähesoo for 2:2 and get us back into the game. Soon after Jõeäär pulled three magical saves in few seconds out of his sleeve, denying L.F.C. to take the lead again. After that moment Reiman took things over and first assisted Tebyanian for beautiful karate-volley leading goal and then finish it up with a goal trough Makuhhin’s legs after a clinical assist from Kelder.

In final minutes L.F.C. attacked higher, trying to lower the score. There was another marginal penalty box tackle by Salakka, but Makarov kept his criteria and also didn’t show penalty in that case.

It was well fought match and deserved win after we completely turned the score around. Already on Wednesday we’re meeting AFC Eyjafjallajökull in a match which will decide who will play in higher division this summer.
